Returns Policy
The Staff Shop Returns Policy is an addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law because we want you to be happy with your purchase.
CHANGE OF MIND
If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase, The Staff Shop will offer you a refund provided that:
- You return the item within 30 days of purchase.

You produce your Online Tax Invoice (order confirmations will not be accepted)
at the time you return the item. - The item is in resalable condition including that:
- It is in its original packaging, including instruction manuals and all accessories;
- It is unworn, unopened, unused and in its original condition with tags attached;
- In the case of computer games, CDs and DVDs the original security seal or shrink wrap is intact;
If these requirements are not satisfied The Staff Shop reserves the right not to offer a refund for change of mind returns.
GOODS ON WHICH A CHANGE OF MIND RETURN IS NOT AVAILABLE
The Staff Shop will not accept the return of items from the following categories under the change of mind returns policy under any circumstances:
- Custom made, monogrammed, personalised and altered products
- Delivered large electrical, big or bulky items
- Cosmetics
- Fragrances
- Bedding accessories
- Pierced jewellery
- Perishable items
These products can still be returned if they are faulty, not fit for purpose or do not match the sample or description.
CONSUMER GUARANTEES
If you believe an item is faulty, you may have rights to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights are not impacted by the change of mind policy or limited by a defined timeframe.
However the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period may vary by product (or service) depending on the nature of the goods (or service), the price paid and any representations made about the goods (or service).
Where you believe an item is faulty, it may be necessary for us to send your goods to the manufacturer or their service agent for it to be assessed within a reasonable period of time. If there is a major failure with the item, you may choose a refund, exchange or repair. If the failure is minor, we will repair the item (or, at our discretion, we may replace the item or refund you) within a reasonable time.
Where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, The Staff Shop will not provide a refund, exchange or repair.
The Staff Shop will require satisfactory proof of purchase before providing a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
RETURN TENDER
Refunds for all purchases will be given using your original payment method.
GIFT OR BONUS WITH PURCHASE OFFERS AND BUNDLED ITEMS
Where merchandise is purchased with a gift or bonus offer, the gift or bonus must also be returned (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to return the gift or bonus or it is not in saleable condition, the value of any available refund will be reduced by the value of the gift or bonus.
In the instance of bundle offers, all items within the bundle must also be returned or the value of the unreturned items will be deducted from any available refund.
PRIVACY WHEN MAKING A RETURN
The Staff Shop is committed to protecting your privacy. You will be asked for information that is relevant to your return or to satisfy legislative requirements. If you do not provide this information then we may be unable to process your return. When returning merchandise with adequate proof of purchase, you will be asked for your signature as authorisation of the return transaction. If The Staff Shop agrees to the return without adequate proof of purchase, you will be asked to provide photo identification containing your full name, signature and expiration date, so that your name and signature can be verified. This information may be accessed by authorised The Staff Shop team members for fraud investigations and fraud protection activities. Information collected on returns slips will be securely stored for a reasonable period of time and may be used for the purposes of research and analysis and may be disclosed to Government departments upon request as required by law.
